Welcome to Practical Boat Design and Seamanship International, we are putting knowledge and skills in the hands of amateur and professional boat builders as well as marine enthusiasts around the world.

Our mission is to enable craftsmen involved in the boat building industry wheather they are building high volume production or building to order in small yards or beachs, to understand and design craft up to 35 metres in length that will be safe reliable and economical while fulfilling their roles as fishing, transport, tourism or leisure boats or yachts.

At present, we offer one full-time comprehensive course on- ‘Design, Naval Architecture & Engineering’, which you can access here

But gradually we will design multiple courses covering a wide spectrum of topics,  from celestial navigation to maritime law, ensuring there’s something for every sailor, from deckhands to captains.
